Polish architecture, design, art and interiors title Point of Design celebrates our studio’s work in an expansive feature that discusses Glenn Sestig’s vision and ethos, by shining a spotlight on two key projects. The first section focuses on Pavilion Sestig – our founder’s main base and home, the contemporary transformation of a modernist 20th century concrete structure, originally created by Ivan Van Mossevelde. Exemplifying Sestig’s minimalist approach and appreciation for modernist architecture and textural, rich materials, the residence combines open and enclosed spaces that become the perfect showcase for art and design – as well as being a highly functional and warm, comfortable home.

Point of Design magazine’s focus on Glenn Sestig continues with a deep dive into our studio’s work in the art world – using Townhouse Pringiers as a case study. The residence, set in the Brussels neighbourhood of Le Sablon, combines a dwelling and an art gallery for an architecture- and art-loving private client. The historic terraced townhouse redesign caters effortlessly to the needs of both a serene family home and a more public, multifunctional space for private shows and entertaining. Luxurious materials and minimalist surfaces complement the period property’s generous proportions, featuring bespoke new elements, such as its black metal staircase that connects all floors.

“Glenn Sestig's latest project, Residence Norah, follows all of the signature hallmarks that have made the Belgian architect a frequent feature in the pages of Wallpaper*” writes the magazine’s Architecture & Environment Director Ellie Stathaki.

“The project – part of an existing site in Belgium's tony Deurle countryside – is set within a modernist home. The original structure was designed by the late 20th-century architect Eddy François and is now owned by property specialist Ahmed El-Saidy, who called upon Sestig and his Ghent-based team to transform a former private gallery wing within the property into a 'flexible reception area', the architect explains. As Sestig elaborates, the new design improved the home's circulation and internal connections too, as the architect created an entirely new set of steps, which now seamlessly link the interior to the property's surrounding green gardens.”

Glenn Sestig’s design for Obumex appears in Elle Decor Italia’s kitchen special. The project plays with notions of minimalism and verticality, taking the typical kitchen island and elevating it into a statement feature. Drawing on his architectural experience, Sestig crafted a kitchen that looks sculptural and beautifully pared down but hides all mod-cons in its clever volumes – even a fully-equipped cocktail cabinet. The article, defined by lavish photography, celebrates the kitchen design’s textured, natural stone and balanced geometry.

This compact summer retreat with expansive views of the North Sea in Belgium’s resort town of Knokke is completed ready for the summer to come. It. truly makes the most of its striking vistas, location and dual aspect arrangement. Glenn Sestig opened up the previously restricted interior, creating a loft-like flexible space with clean lines and views through the apartment, and out towards the sea. Lightness and elegance prevail through a material and colour palette of neutral, natural tones. Meanwhile, a customised Obumex kitchen and a careful selection of Glenn Sestig designs punctuate the balanced overall product curation.
